9 days ago I started my journey with starting a Sourdough starter
Here is my starter on it's 3rd feed
Raising nicely and doubling it's volume in 2:30 hours
Today I deemed it ready and made my first loaf of bread
Before the kneading, decided to use plain and wholemeal flour this time. The aim is to eventually made Spelt sourdough bread.
Ready for it's first raise.
Forgot to take between photo's, next time will hopefully do better, still getting use to this Blogging thing.
Fresh from the oven
Sliced while steaming hot.
Butted a piece straight away just for me, Boo wanted to try a bite and promptly stole it, Mmmmmmm, at least I now know he will eat it. Cool, he can have a sourdough sandwich for school tomorrow.
Now what flavour will I try tomorrow ?

p.s. Boo goes back to school tomorrow, so will be able to get my hands on the iPad more often and have it charged, to do some posts. Yippee, can not wait, shame about all the house work that comes from school holidays.
