Hay Fever

Sorry I have been quite but I am suffering badly from hay fever. It is not nice progressing from someone who never got it, to occasionally and now having sever attacks that can last for weeks. They are saying it is bad this year as we have had a warm, wet winter.

Yesterday I worked out the the blossom.

And half of our property is covered in it.

Great, at the moment I'm trying a natural remedy of 1 teaspoon of Apple cider vinegar in very cold water. I think it is working. Should no in a few days as I now feel like I have a cold also.

The fall out is I have not had much drive and can not even settle to crocheting a lot of the time.

Have been making some little flowers/ roses for the neglected seasonal tree. Must try and write down the pattern befor I forget.

This week I went to Spotlight and they have just this week got some cotton and cotton blend yarn in, in bright colours

Yippy !

Most of the right colours to make Lucy's flower granny blanket. ( attic 24, 15 April 2008, if you are looking, sorry can not work out linking yet )

Just not really happy with the Teal, bit dull for me, will have to do some more serching.

Worked out the flower motive, so on my way.

Also received these yummy rainbow cleaning/ dish cloths this week. Are not the colours wicked ?

Spring cleaning the garden

September marks the time I start reclaiming the garden, ( knee high weed and grass are only in in winter) having a larger then normal garden means there is a lot to do.

As it has been a wet, not as much as I had hoped has been done but at least now the mowing and edges have been wiper sniped and a few fruit trees weeded. Still lots to do but with consistence and regularity it will happen, hopefully before it gets too hot.

 

Have also moved our black rooster and hen into the movable chicken cage, so in a few weeks the eggs should be a pure, ready for incubating some more of his breed.

On the crocheting front, all ends are now woven in but as the light has been crap inside, no photo's have as yet been taken. Have crocheted the back of the coat that I'm making for a friend and fiddled with some other projects. Nothing much, as after gardening, some days I'm just way too buggered. So sit in my chair wanting desperately to, but just can't.

Today Boo got his first Merit award from school. He was so very proud, as are we all. :-). :-)

On Monday the boy's and I are going down to Margret River for a few days with Mum and Dad. We feel it is time for some not technology free family time. Wish me luck, big boy may have some serious withdrawals. Will not be staying for the full school day week as Boo has his first school carnival on the Friday.

When we return I hope to have some great photo's of Margret River and written my signs of spring post, the garden is starting burst into life everywhere, which makes lots of photo's that need resizing.

Yarn - King Cole Bamboo cotton

Colours - white, red and green

Crochet side wards, 38 single crochet long. 3 rows between bobble rows. Bobbles are made of 4 dc half made till last stitch. 7 sc between each bobble.

Hook size - 4mm

This weeks Crafting Journey 2/09/2013

This week I made a lampshade cover for Boo's room

Above picture is of it drying, while blocking, now I just need to fix it to the shade. Think I will just sew it to the fabric of the light shade cover.

Will post some more pictures when it is completely finished and in his room. The striping was done to reflect the painting of his room walls.

Have also been still stitching in ends. Now this far along.

Left is this weeks, so have done a lot more.

Sometimes think I would like to put this one on our bed, only problem is I would need 445 more squares, added to the 500 done. Maybe will leave it without a boarder for awhile and see.

23 Today

Today my princess turns 23 years old.
